With all the COVID-19 restrictions, it's now pretty challenging to visit Phuket and enjoy everything it has to offer. Yet, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is still offering foreigners a chance to see the top attractions... via virtual tours! And one of them is the famous Chinpracha House in Phuket Old Town.

The Chinpracha House virtual tour is an immersive 360° adventure that allows everyone to explore the historic mansion in 3D. There are icons for viewing floorplans and for navigation, while other functions allow viewing in VR or sharing with friends on social media. Once inside an attraction, visitors can move around, explore the building and learn more about the time of Phuket's “tin rush”.

Built-in 1903 by Prapitak Chinpracha, the mansion is a unique Phuket attraction keeping alive the spirit of Old Town. Build on what then used to be the edge of Phuket Town, now it is in the central (historical) part of the city.

The house is located on Krabi Rd, next to the Blue Elephant Restaurant. The whole ground floor is open to the public including bedrooms, kitchen, and dining room. The walls are full of old photos of the family, the rooms are filled with old furniture, much of it original Chinese as the initial owner was of Chinese blood.
