International schools in Phuket. Part 1

If you are happened to be an expat in Thailand living with kids or have decided to spend some time in our Land of smiles with your kids, you might take thought about their education. I realized that my article with the list of Phuket International schools can help. The list will move from south of the island to the north. So, here we go.

Palm House International School (PHIS)

Located in Rawai area. This is a kindergarten to primary school. They provide Cambridge curriculum for kids from 3 up to 15 years old. In case English is a second language for your child, the school will provide all necessary support. There are 3 terms in the academic year: 1st is from September to December, 2nd – January – April and the 3rd one is from April to July. However, if you are looking for a quality time during summer, there are Summer School Camps in July and August. Moreover, PHIS is loaded with extra activities of every choice. And now is the most interesting part, fees. There is a non-refundable registration fee of 30,000 THB per child, includes of 3 uniform sets. As for the term fees, please keep in mind they might change. The information in this article is just for you to have an overview. So, for the academic year 2019-2020 fee were following: term 1: 86,170 THB, term 2: 74,680 THB, term 3: 55,150 THB. All extra activities and transportation are charged separately.

International School of Phuket (ISP)

The 13 years old established University of Cambridge school is also located in Rawai on 10 Rai of green field. School has 2 special sections for Russian and French kids as a support to improve their English skills. ISP is suitable for kids as young as 12 months up to 12 years old. Apart from regular classes children are encourage to participate in extra activities, such as Muay Thai, piano and guitar lessons and many more. The cafeteria serves healthy and nutritious food with a tree-week menu rotation. ISP also provides bus service at extra charge. There are also 3 terms in an academic year. The fees for 2019-2020- school year were following. Registration fee – 10,000 THB for the first-year enrollment and re-registration is 5,000 THB for every following year. Admission fee is 30,000 THB per child. A year in full day nursery or kindergarten will cost you 168,000 THB, primary school – 218,000 THB, secondary school – 262,000 THB. Sibling can get a discount from 5%. A full year payment will allow you to pay less on 10%. Fees includes classes as per the schedule and meals. The rest should be paid extra.
