On April 30th this year, Thailand’s largest marine service centre opened in Phuket. The opening of the 70 million baht Yamaha centre in Koh Kaew was a huge success. It is well known that Phuket is the yachting and marine hub of not just Thailand but South east Asia and this latest facility will be a tremendous benefit to both tourism on the island and marine activities. Locals and tourists alike will be able to take advantage of the services provided. The Watchara marine company are involved in the marine service centre, which is reassuring news due to the company’s rich history. Originally Watchara started out in the motorcycle industry but branched out into the marine sector in 2001. Since then they have done great things for the marine industry and it’s safe to say that this latest venture will surely be yet another success.
