Traveling by plane can be a wonderful experience. The anticipation of a journey is usually half the fun. Waiting for your flight to leave can sometimes be exciting, but when that wait becomes a delay, excitement can transform into impatience quite quickly.
This was something that Nok Air passengers discovered on Mother’s Day this year when their flights were delayed due to a system crash with the airline. The System malfunction delayed all Nok Air flights, causing many passengers to lose valuable time with their families. Some passengers reported that the delays lasted up to seven hours whilst other passengers decided to abandon their trips altogether, rather than wait around to see how long it would all take.
Things weren’t all bad though. In an effort to make up for the error, Nok Air CEO Patee Sarasin put out a message on Instagram stating that all passengers who traveled with Nok Air on Mother’s Day this year will receive one free plane ticket for any route.
“Everyone who flew with us yesterday will get a free ticket and Nok Air will contact you,” Patee Sarasin stated on the airline’s official Instagram account, “We apologize for the incident yesterday.”
So if you were one of those unlucky passengers who flew with Nok Air on Mother’s Day this year, prepare to get lucky again once more. Nok Air should be contacting you soon with details on your free plane ticket, unless of course there are further delays in their system.
