Once again, but only just making the cut, Wat Pho finds itself on this years’ top 25 landmarks in the world. The Bangkok landmark came in at 25th, but 25th in the world is still pretty good going. TripAdvisor lists the ‘Temple of the Reclining Buddha’ as a must-see, and generally if you ask someone for recommendations of attractions in Bangkok, chances are they’ll suggest this one. Number one spot in this hotly contested category went to Machu Picchu, Peru. A tough one to beat indeed.
Of course, Phuket was not left out on the lists of worldly attractions. The beautiful southern province ranks number 8 on the world’s top islands and its stunning Kata Noi beach was listed among the top 25 beaches.
Phuket was beaten to top spot for world’s best islands by Maui, Hawaii. We’re sure it’s beautiful, but does it really beat Phuket?
