The weekend’s over and the working week has begun but that doesn’t mean that you can’t still go out at night and have a little bit of fun. After partying hard and having a ball, it’s probably best to take it easy though, especially if you’re an expat who’s not living it up on holidays. The best thing to do after a heavy weekend is grab a nice cheap meal somewhere quiet and sit back and relax.
If you’ve blown most of your salary on a massive weekend and you’re looking to save some money, here are a few places around the island you can go, that won’t take away too much Baht.
N.C. Restaurant, Phang Nga Road in Phuket City
This place serves up a great Massaman curry, as well as loads of other delectable dishes such as Kanom Jeen, Hokkien noodles, Haw Mok and a variety of rice dishes. For desert they serve baked goods and sweets, positively scrumptious.
Jade Restaurant, Chaofa East Road, Chalong
If Dim Sums are your thing, be sure to come to the Jade restaurant. It serves up some of the best on the island. Another noteworthy dish on the menu is the Khao Thom, truly delicious.
Ko Yoon, Yaowarat Road, Phuket City
A bizarre place with strange décor, this shop serves up the best Hokkien noodle soup in Phuket, at least that’s what the sign hanging out the front claims. It can get a little hot inside but the atmosphere is still pretty cool. A great place to sit back and watch the world go by.
