The inaugural PHUKET RENDEZVOUS will be held from 4 – 7 January 2018 at the award-winning Royal Phuket Marina and is on course to becoming the biggest and most glamourous luxury lifestyle and marine exhibition ever held on Phuket.
Having replaced the popular 14-year-old Phuket International Boat Show (PIMEX), the PHUKET RENDEZVOUS will take place during the first week of the New Year when the largest number of villa and yacht owners, HNWIs and jet-setters are on the island. For four days, yachting enthusiasts and luxury aficionados from all over the world will descend on Royal Phuket Marina, a world-class destination combining luxury waterfront living with a state-of-the-art marina.
Highlighting its ambition to become Asia’s premier marine exhibition, the PHUKET RENDEZVOUS is already close to filling all of its in-water berths with the region’s leading brokers and global boat manufacturers in attendance. The inaugural event will boast three Asian yacht premieres, including the spacious Ferretti Yachts 850 from Lee Marine. Boat Lagoon Yachting will also debut two of the latest models from British yacht manufacturer, Princess Yachts, with the P62 and S65.
With over 50 premium yachts on display, the PHUKET RENDEZVOUS will showcase some of the biggest names in the marine industry, including Go Boating (Thailand), Northrop & Johnson, Simpson Marine and South East Asia Yacht Sales & Services. From luxury motor yacht and catamaran brands, such as Azimut, Beneteau, Lagoon, Leopard, Monte Carlo Yachts, Riviera and Zeelander to sailing craft and smaller leisure boats, such as Gulf Craft and Hanse, the PHUKET RENDEZVOUS will be a who’s who of the international maritime community. And, for classic yacht enthusiasts and history-buffs, the event will also showcase the 62ft Sirius 1935, the first purpose-built Australian vessel to circumnavigate the globe.
The marine and luxury goods market in South East Asia includes between 4.8 and 5.6 million individuals and is growing at about 10% per annum as the region’s wealth continues to grow at a dynamic pace. A high proportion of these yachting enthusiasts and HNWIs are keen to explore Phuket and the tropical waters that surround this picturesque island. Building on this demand for all things luxury, the PHUKET RENDEZVOUS will help exhibitors and visitors alike to connect with manufacturers, suppliers and end-users from a diverse range of sectors.
As well as boasting a comprehensive maritime line-up, the PHUKET RENDEZVOUS will also feature financial service providers, watch-makers and some of the island’s leading property developers. Royal Phuket Marina’s Town Square will be transformed into a dynamic and exciting hub with exotic cars on display, daily fashion shows and a variety of gourmet cuisine pop-ups. On the Boardwalk, visitors and exhibitors can relax and take in the atmosphere in an English-themed Garden Party, decorated with sculptures and a wide variety of beers, wines and delectable nibbles on offer.
Over in Phuket Boat Lagoon, industry trendsetters Yacht Style will launch the Christofle Yacht Style Awards, an annual event recognising the best of the maritime industry in Asia and placing Phuket and Thailand at the very centre of the world’s yachting scene!
Other highlights will include classic and exotic car parades, a VIP Hospitality Lounge decorated by the “Kings of Silk” Jim Thompson, art exhibitions, a seminar programme and a daily dose of live music, parties and entertainment for all the family to enjoy.
The organisers, ASIA RENDEZVOUS PTE LTD., working with global partners and the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau – plus its sister events, the SINGAPORE RENDEZVOUS and the new PENANG RENDEZVOUS – are perfectly placed to promote PHUKET RENDEZVOUS to ensure exhibitors and visitors will enjoy the best selection of marine and luxury lifestyle brands, in a unique and atmospheric venue with a myriad of side events and activities that guarantee an unforgettable experience.
