After a rather quiet month or so, Bangkok will be welcoming new music from underground labels in Charoen Krung Mini Fest. The official mourning period is due to end on November 14th and we’re ready to get back to the lively Thailand we all know and love.
If you find yourself in Bangkok on November 19th be sure to check out this unique gathering of musicians and labels, making up for the cancelled Noise Market 6. Some of the, less-than-mainstream acts include solo free-soul act Sao Moonlight Gypsy, a handpan-playing duo known as Honon as well as the soft styles of Ekho.
You’ll find the gathering on Bangkok’s Mahaprutharam Road where you’ll also be able to buy records from Bangkok’s Newlights Production as well as Chiang Mai’s Fuzzy Fuzz Records. The event will run from 1pm to 8pm at Laan Baimai in Tsoi Coffee Shop. The venue is offering a free tuk-tuk shuttle to the MRT so you won’t get too lost on your way back.
