Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, you’ve probably heard of the Global phenomenon that is Pokemon Go. People all over the world have been walking around busy streets with their eyes glued to their telephone screens, looking for virtual pocket monsters. Adults and children alike have caught on to the craze and now it has finally arrived in Thailand.
Some people might say that busy cities like Bangkok and Phuket might not be the best places to not pay attention to where you’re going as you walk around the streets and these people would be right too. With so much traffic and people whizzing around, it’s probably wise to stay aware of your surroundings for things like cars and motorcycles, rather than cartoon monsters.
This hasn’t stopped locals from walking around blindly though. Over the weekend, major shopping centers and tourist locations all over the nation were swarmed by locals, tourists and expats who had downloaded the app.
Our recommendation is that if you’re going to fall for this latest fad, be very careful as you walk around the streets and make sure you don’t go into any dangerous construction sites. Also, make sure you’re respectful if you come across any Pokemons in temples and other holy places.
Remember to Pokemon Stop.
